Once again I am in Geneva for another big battle I have been fighting for the past 3 years. As I am walking along the beautiful streets of this city thinking about all that has brought me to this moment, I start to convince myself that I cannot force the sun to rise any sooner than it does. And also I cannot force the summer to last any longer than it does.
Life has a certain rhythm that gives it much of its value. Instead of complaining, I must take care to respect and appreciate that rhythm. After many years I have learned that there is no other option left for me.
The life of an entrepreneur is a professional life which takes on greater than normal financial risks to build a business for the potential of a greater reward. It is only natural in this life then, that my best possibilities will grow into reality at a pace that is right for them. If I try to force them any sooner or delay them, much of their value will be lost.
Instead, I need to allow the richness to come into my life at a steady and measured pace. For that will enable me to more fully experience them all. And that’s why recently and after much thought into the process, I honestly started to enjoy my suffering and look at it as part of my growth. I decided to accept them and make the very best of these bitter moments. You cannot fully appreciate chocolate until you have tasted both the bitter cacao as well as the ultra sweet. The treasures of life are best experienced when I let them come as they will. And I will take my treasure box full of bitter and sweet chocolate.
After all of this reflecting and walking, I was hungry so what better way to end my afternoon and my post than with this chocolate Sunday in Geneva. I hope this post makes you dear readers realize that there is always a box of bitter and sweet chocolates in life. Leave me a comment below and let me know if you agree or disagree. Wishing you all a productive week ahead!by
