As I mentioned on my Instagram post, I had a very roller coaster week which started with hope and continued by disappointment and despair but then changed direction with new ways and new solutions. These events led me to share my experience with you, when my life got dark and the hope to find the solutions had faded. Then suddenly, I realised I’m not that far away from where I want to be. I was only a single decision, a single instant, a single positive action away from the direction I wished to go.

Wow such a relief, I have been pleasantly surprised at how quickly I made progress. I didn’t lose my faith and stuck with my dreams. This week I learned to be thankful for the wisdom, the experience, the strength and the purposeful sense of determination it has all given to me. Then to point that determination in a positive direction, and go.  Go with enthusiasm and the greatest of expectations along the path that is already in front of you.

Here are 10 small tips to develop your resilience which worked incredibly well for me and will hopefully help you get ready when you need your strength the most:

  1. Don’t try to solve problems with the same thinking that created them.
  2. Master your emotions before they manage you.
  3. Stay tough.
  4. Keep growing
  5. Stay prepared.
  6. Pick yourself up, as many times as it takes.
  7. Reward the small wins.
  8. Keep giving.
  9. Build relationships.
  10. Create your own meaning.

You too right now, right here, you are not that far away. Step up and make the journey for yourself, you deserve it.

I didn't lose my faith and stick with my dreams.
I didn’t lose my faith and stuck to my dreams!

Master your emotions before they manage you.
